Local teens will take the Main Stage next Thursday, Oct. 22, when Thrive Clermont presents its Teens Got Talent Showcase from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Highway 27.

The show features local teens who were selected to perform and supported with professional coaching. Thrive, which lists its mission as empowering teens to succeed, calls the showcase its newest fall event and is staging it with the City of Clermont and Landi-Lou Talent Agency.

Student art alongside the stage show

The night also includes a visual arts exhibit. According to Thrive, high school art teachers across Lake County will be invited to curate tables showing work by standout teen artists from their schools.

Thrive says the event is meant to help students show their skills, build confidence, connect with peers and get mentorship from professionals in the arts and entertainment industries.

Where the money goes and how to get tickets

Proceeds support Thrive's year-round educational, recreational and leadership programs for at-risk teens. Tickets are sold through the Teens Got Talent page on the Clermont Performing Arts Center website, which also links from Thrive's event listing.
